An “Order for Service” agreement spells out the arrangement between the mover and yourself, including loading and delivery dates and a cost (if the cost is an estimate, it should also include a cap of how far they can exceed that estimate). A written estimate with itemized charges will help keep things clear and straightforward. Your mover should also create a “Table of Measurements, ” which is a size- and weight-based list of all items to be moved. If the mover hesitates to provide you with any of these, consider other options.
Even though it may look like it is impossible to find a specific Los Angeles mover, it really isn’t. Take your time and do your research. Make sure you are comfortable with the arrangements before signing any contract. Follow these guidelines and you should be ready to make your move.
