Putting your home on the market can be daunting; here are a few quick starter projects that almost anyone can do. Imagine yourself as the potential buyer, and critically examine the outside of your home. Making a good first impression is key, and you won’t get another shot at it.

Your gutters and downspouts should be clean and in good repair. Remove leaves and any other debris from view. Replace those gutters and downspouts that are rusty or dented. Paint your front door, garage door and any trim. Anything that is chipped should be touched up with fresh paint.

Your next project should be washing your siding and windows. A simple accessory added to your garden hose will make this job a snap. If you prefer, you can lease a power washer from a local rental agency. The job will be easier if you begin at the zenith, and work your way down. Swap out any busted or damaged windows with new ones. Since you have that power sprayer hooked up, this would also be a good time to wash down your porch and front walk. If your house is painted rather than sided, take a critical look at it, and consider a professional painting company to repaint the whole house. It may be tempting to take on this project yourself, but painting does require some expert knowledge.

You will also want to critically assess your foliage. Landscaping that is old, outdated or dying should be dug up, and replaced. Blossoming vegetation can to a lot for the outside environment of your house. Next, you will need to use a gardening sheers and hedge trimmer. Make sure that all bushes and trees around your house are nicely shaped. Once you have things looking the way you want them, get a couple bags of mulch, and spread it around all of your plants, trees, and bushes; this will bring everything together.

Your last job is to tidy and clean up your living space in the front and back of the house. You want your outdoor living space to be just as cozy and appealing as your indoor living space. Tidy up your porch and back yard. Making your lighting appealing is a good first step. Make your space unique with cozy furniture and attractive decorations. Pick a theme that you can keep constant around the whole circumference of your home.

Accomplishing these few projects will help your home stand out for potential buyers!

People buy things all the time and will then sell them later. Sometimes people do this for a profit, but that is very hard to do with timeshares. So why else would someone want to sell their timeshare?

1. Affordability. Something may have happened in someone’s life that has effected their budget such as a job change or health issues.

2. Lack of usage. If you do not use the timeshare at all, then essentially you are just throwing money away. Some people do not use their timeshares enough to justify the cost of paying for it.

3. Loss of enjoyment. Changes may be made to your timeshare over the years. At some point you may say if I was offered this timeshare today I would turn it down because I do not enjoy my time here.

4. Inheritance concerns. There are a lot of people who inherit a timeshare and do not actually purchase it themselves. A lot of times these people will sell it because it is not their taste or they cannot afford the additional costs of owning a timeshare.

These are some of the most common reasons why people are selling their timeshares. Once you decide to sell you have to figure out how you are going to actually do that.

You must decide if you will pay an outside party to help you sell your timeshare of if you will do it by owner. Keep in mind, if you choose to involve an doutside party do not pay up front fees!

In this case, if you if the timeshare is not sold you are not out any money. Additionally, you can be assured that your agent will be working to sell quickly and for as much money as possible as this is the only way they will make any money.
